Trooper

Trooper is a handsome 2 1/2-year-old, 60-pound boy with a heart of gold. He's the kind of companion who will quietly shadow you, offering a comforting presence. Trooper is incredibly smart, house-trained, and crate-trained, and he's already mastered commands like "stay," "come," "lay down," and "quiet." He walks beautifully on a leash, rides calmly in the car, and his greatest joy is simply being with his favorite person. Trooper has a gentle and tender soul, responding wonderfully to kindness, encouragement, and consistency. He's not a dog who demands attention; he simply thrives on knowing he's safe and loved. Trooper enjoys cozy naps, watching the world from the patio, peaceful car rides, gentle play, and being by your side.

Ideal Home

Trooper would thrive in a home where he can be a true companion. He experiences some separation anxiety and would do best with someone who doesn't leave him alone for long hours. He has done well with other dogs and shows good focus when encountering barking dogs on walks.

Trooper is neutered, vaccinated, and house-trained, ready for his forever home.

Training & Support

Trooper is already house-trained, crate-trained, and knows several commands. His protective instincts are easily redirected due to his excellent listening skills. He will do best with consistent, kind, and encouraging training.

Transporation

Trooper is currently located at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX. He can be brought closer to you via rescue transport, which travels through various areas once a month. The adoption fee is $395, plus a $30 health certificate and $260 for transport. Transport is handled by AJC Rescue & Transport, with drivers providing real-time updates and estimated arrival times. Dogs are crated and stop for breaks during transport.
