Oscar is a sweet young Labrador mix, approximately 1 year old and weighing 32 lbs, with a big heart and a joyful spirit. He is very social with children, men, and women, and he builds trust almost instantly with everyone he meets. He loves being around people and enjoys spending time with other dogs. Playtime is one of his favorite things, and his friendly personality makes him an easy dog to fall in love with. Oscar has a small neurological tic due to distemper, noticeable when he is resting, but it does not affect his happy life or his loving nature.
Ideal Home
A home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. Families should have a genuine intention to rescue a dog and an open conscience about the needs of street animals, requiring protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer is essential. High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are a must.
Ongoing Health
Oscar has a small neurological tic due to distemper, which is noticeable when he is resting. He has completed a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, 4DX test, heartworm test, and is on monthly preventive protection (Nexgard Spectra). He also has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Oscar is not house-trained. The rescue emphasizes that their dogs may require an adjustment period due to past trauma and that patience and understanding are crucial for building trust and a strong bond. Establishing a routine and clear boundaries will help the dog feel secure.

Transporation
Oscar is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our cross-country trip. Door-to-door delivery is available for a one-time transport fee of $400 USD. Our transport process includes scheduled trips, a partnered transport company, comprehensive paperwork including a USDA health certificate, and real-time updates via a private Facebook Messenger group. Final home delivery and a home review will be conducted by the transport team.
