Dusty

Dusty is a distinguished gentleman of 11 years, weighing around 70 lbs, and is a certified good boy ready to bring calm and companionship into your life. After patiently waiting for over 9 months, Dusty is still hopeful his perfect person is out there, and we can't fathom why this sweet soul keeps getting overlooked! He's the epitome of easygoing – perfectly house-trained, walks like a dream on leash, and is never destructive. Dusty’s happiest moments are spent near his people, enjoying couch naps and quiet evenings. He's the ideal loyal companion for anyone who works from home or simply cherishes peaceful downtime.

Ideal Home

Dusty is not an active dog due to arthritis, but he still enjoys playful moments and truly savors life. He gets along wonderfully with people and has a history of accepting indoor cats. He also does well with other dogs when introduced properly and when they are a good match, showing a preference for smaller pups.

Ongoing Health

Dusty has arthritis, so he is not a highly active dog. He has a clean bill of health, is neutered, vaccinated, tested for heartworm, current on flea and heartworm prevention, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Dusty can exhibit some resource guarding tendencies, which require supervision and thoughtful management. However, he has been very manageable in foster care. He doesn't ask for perfection, just a loving home that will give a senior dog a chance. A soft bed, a steady routine, and a place to truly relax are all he needs.
