Meet Gus, a sweet and gentle puppy with a tender heart! Gus can be a little shy when meeting new people or experiencing new situations, so he'll do best with a patient, understanding family willing to give him the time he needs to feel safe and confident. Once he settles in, his affectionate personality begins to shine, and he's a wonderful companion. This smart boy is already fully crate trained and has never had an accident in the house—a fantastic start for such a young pup! He's also working on leash training and continues to make steady progress every day.
Ideal Home
Gus would do best with a patient and understanding family who can give him the time he needs to feel safe and confident. While he hasn't been around children yet, his foster believes he would likely do well with respectful kids who understand he may need a little extra time to warm up.
Ongoing Health
Gus has a healthy appetite, is up to date on his vaccinations, and has been neutered.
Training & Support
Like any puppy, Gus is still learning his manners. He may bark when he sees unfamiliar people or other dogs, and he loves to chew, so plenty of puppy-safe toys, guidance, and positive reinforcement will help him grow into a well-mannered adult. Gus enjoys spending time with the three senior dogs in his foster home and loves having canine friends. His puppy enthusiasm can sometimes be a bit much for older dogs, so supervised play is recommended while he continues to learn appropriate play manners.
