2147 Frankie

Meet Frankie, a sweet and curious 6-year-old Dachshund who weighs about 11 pounds. Frankie was recently surrendered from a breeding facility and is just beginning to learn what it's like to be a cherished pet. He's a shy boy who needs time to feel safe before he's ready for cuddles, and he's still figuring out important things like asking to go outside and leash walking. Despite his shyness, he's full of tail wags and ready to discover the world with a patient and loving family.

Ideal Home

Frankie would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard, as he's still learning to signal when he needs to go out. He would also do wonderfully with another dog his size, which would provide him with companionship and a role model as he learns.

Ongoing Health

Frankie has had his neuter surgery and dental work done. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations, has been heartworm tested, dewormed, and is on flea prevention. He is also microchipped.

Training & Support

Frankie is still learning basic skills, including how to communicate his needs to go outside and how to walk on a leash. Patience and positive reinforcement will be key to helping him build confidence and learn these new skills.
