He's incredibly loyal and, despite a difficult past, has maintained a heart full of love for people. If you want a dog who wants to be involved in every aspect of your daily life, Murphy is your guy! He's happy to "help" with emails, supervise laundry, or simply nap by your side. After years of roughing it, he's fully embraced the finer things in life like couches, air conditioning, and being told he's a good boy. His hobbies include following his favorite person, leaving detailed "pee-mail" on neighborhood strolls, making dog friends, couch potato-ing, receiving compliments, and taking ridiculously long baths. Yes, baths! Murphy treats bath time like a spa retreat. He walks beautifully on leash, gets along well with other dogs, and is generally more interested in spending time with his people than causing trouble. Because of his past, Murphy may take a moment to size up new men, but with patient fostering and positive experiences, he grows more confident. Once he trusts you, you're in. Human kindness means more to him than it does to most dogs, and when Murphy loves someone, he loves them with his whole heart. This isn't a dog looking for constant excitement, but for connection. He's waiting for a best friend to greet him every morning like he's the greatest thing that's ever happened, for walks to be the best part of the day because they're shared, and to finally discover what it feels like to be a cherished companion.
