About Ducky the Confident Low Rider

Ducky is a confident, goofy, toy-loving boy who is sure to fill your life with joy! He's about 2 years old and weighs around 45 lbs, with a charming "low rider" physique, short legs, a long body, and a squishy pittie face that will melt your heart. He's a dreamy-level cutie pie who loves to play fetch and interact with his people.

Ideal Home

Ducky would make a fun family dog or a devoted bestie for someone looking for entertainment and companionship. He's comfortable around children and has a playful spirit that they adore. He's also done exceptionally well with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, showing no reactivity even in busy environments like the beach. He respects other dogs and will greet them politely if given the chance.

Ongoing Health

Ducky is a healthy boy. He has been neutered and is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies. He has also received multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also been tested for heartworm.

Training & Support

Ducky is a star when it comes to potty training and crate training. He is reliably potty trained when taken outside and does not have accidents indoors. He is also comfortable in his crate for long periods, even overnight, with only a brief vocalization when initially settling in. He enters his crate readily for car rides or meals. He is confident, adaptable, and trusts people easily, greeting them with a sweet lean or a gentle jump. He's also well-behaved in public settings, like restaurants, and enjoys meeting new people.

Ducky is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel with 24/7 care. We have drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You will be able to track your pet's journey in real-time and connect with other adopters through a private Facebook event page.
