Banjo is a 5-year-old, 72-pound bundle of pure joy and good manners, ready to be your ultimate adventure buddy and couch companion. He’s a certified gentleman in public, charming everyone he meets with his wagging tail and shining eyes. Banjo is a pro at making entrances, whether it's a trip to the hardware store or a leisurely stroll, he’s guaranteed to turn heads. He walks beautifully on a leash, sits on command, and is a perfect passenger in the car. While he loves his daily adventures and exploring the yard, he’s equally content with some quality couch time, snoozing nearby and keeping you company. This smart, polite, and low-maintenance companion is eager to please and has a solid training foundation.
Ideal Home
Banjo would thrive in a home with someone experienced with larger dogs who can continue to reinforce his excellent habits. He gets along with most friendly dogs but prefers to keep his inner circle small, especially with certain males. He’s not a fan of cats, pigs, or farm animals, though birds don't bother him. While he’s a pro at ignoring other animals on walks, he prefers his own yard to be a members-only zone and doesn't like unfamiliar animals wandering by.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned.
Training & Support
Banjo is housebroken, crate-trained, and uses a doggy door. He’s well-trained to ignore other animals on walks, but needs continued reinforcement of his boundaries in his own yard. His eagerness to please and intelligence make him a joy to train.
