Butch

Hi, I'm Butch! I've been told that patience is a virtue, which is great, because I've been practicing it for almost three years here at the shelter. Don't get me wrong, I've made lots of friends, perfected my sunbathing skills, and become somewhat of an expert in spotting lizards. But I think I'm finally ready to retire from shelter life and move into a home of my own.

I'm about 50 pounds of goofy charm, loyalty, and optimism. I love adventures, appreciate a good snack (okay, a great snack), and firmly believe that every sunny spot was put on this earth for dogs like me to enjoy. I can make ordinary days a lot more fun, and at the end of the day, I'm happiest just being with my people.

I'm not in a hurry, but I am hopeful. After almost three years, I'd really love to know what it's like to have a couch that's mine, a routine that's mine, and a family that's mine. I know my person is out there somewhere. Maybe they've just been taking the scenic route to find me. If you're looking for a loyal, funny, big-hearted companion who's ready to trade kennel life for forever, I think we should meet. Butch is an affectionate, adventurous dog who has been waiting nearly three years for his forever home. He enjoys exploring, relaxing in the sun, and spending time with his people.
