Pearl

Pearl is a sweet, petite Chihuahua mix who is about 3 years old and weighs 12 lbs. She was rescued off the streets of Manteca after living as a stray for over six months. Initially very feral, she has blossomed over the past eight months in foster care. Pearl is now a loving companion who follows her foster mom around and enjoys cuddling in laps. She has learned to play with toys from her foster siblings and gets along wonderfully with the resident Jack Russells and cat. Pearl loves being outside but will always be a flight risk, requiring a very secure backyard. She has made progress with leash training but still dislikes the leash. Pearl is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and rabies, flea treated, and microchipped. She is also potty trained and uses a doggie door. Pearl is a character with a loving, sweet soul who is sure to bring joy and laughter to her forever home.

Ideal Home

Pearl would thrive in a home with another small, playful dog, as she loves to play with her current foster siblings. Due to her flight risk nature, a very secure backyard is essential.

Ongoing Health

Pearl is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and rabies, flea treated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Pearl still dislikes the leash, and continued gentle training will be necessary. She is potty trained and uses a doggie door.
