Meet Mama Kris! This sweet girl is finally ready to meet you and find her forever home.
Mama Kris is a Boxer and Black Mouth Cur mix, weighing 44lbs, and estimated to be born around April 22, 2025. After being a wonderful mama to her puppies, she's looking for a home to call her own. Kris came to us from the county shelter, where she and her newborn puppies were sadly on the euthanasia list due to the stress of the shelter environment. Now that her puppies are grown, Kris has been spayed, is heartworm negative, and is fully vaccinated, making her officially ready for her happy ending. Kris has a most soulful personality. She can be a bit shy when you first meet her and needs a little time to feel safe, but once she trusts you, she is incredibly loving and gentle. She walks nicely on leash, enjoys calm affection, and thrives on reassurance. Kris also has an amazing recall! She's dog friendly with proper introductions and is currently working on kennel training. While the kennel isn't her favorite just yet, she's showing great improvement each day. Kris would do best with a patient adopter who understands that dogs from stressful situations need time to decompress and settle in. She survived the shelter and raised her babies; now it's finally Kris's turn to be someone's baby.
