About Pearlie
Pearlie is a 5-year-old, 50lb spayed female pittie mix with a striking snowy coat and soulful eyes. She has made incredible progress since arriving, going from too scared to leave her kennel to now confidently greeting people and showing her affectionate, silly, and deeply loyal personality. Pearlie is looking for a patient and understanding home to continue helping her blossom. She absolutely adores children and has lived with kids from 3 to 18 years old. She is loving, gentle, and happy to be part of the family, though supervision is recommended with smaller children due to her occasional jumpiness when excited. Pearlie is fully house-trained and crates well, usually sleeping quietly through the night. She enjoys her own space for meals and treats. Leash walking is a work in progress, but with consistency and patience, she is steadily improving. Pearlie has a low to medium energy level and would do best in a calmer environment where she can decompress at her own pace. She is affectionate, curious, playful, and incredibly loving once she trusts you. Her favorite activity is giving kisses, and she bonds deeply with her people. Pearlie can be fearful when meeting strangers, sometimes barking or avoiding them, which stems from her past experiences. She will need time, patience, and a gentle approach to build trust. She is also nervous in the car and a bit scared of the dark outside, but she is gaining confidence with support.
Ideal Home
Pearlie's ideal home is calm, patient, and understanding of her journey. She would do best in a home that moves at her pace and celebrates her progress. She can coexist well with dogs in the 50-80 lb range but prefers to do her own thing. Slow, structured introductions are important when meeting other dogs, as she can be socially unsure. While she doesn't need another dog, she could live with the right calm, respectful companion.
Ongoing Health
Pearlie has no known health conditions.
