Ty - big lovable guy

Meet Ty! This lovable 6-year-old Weimaraner/American Foxhound mix is a true gem with a heart full of love and a zest for life. Ty has a way of making people smile with his happy greetings and energetic spirit. He's already mastered crate training and house training, and even knows how to use a doggy door! Ty enjoys walks but can get a little sidetracked by interesting scents, so continued leash training will be a great help. He loves to be part of the family fun, whether it's a hike or just relaxing at home. Ty does best with female dogs or smaller male dogs, and would be a fantastic companion for an active family or individual. A securely fenced yard is a must for this outdoor enthusiast.

Ty would thrive in an active home where he can be included in family adventures. He does best with female dogs or male dogs smaller than his 70lb frame and would also be a wonderful fit for families with active children. A securely fenced backyard is essential for Ty.

Ongoing Health

Ty is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, is microchipped, and has been spayed/neutered. He has been cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport.

Training & Support

Ty is house-trained, crate-trained, and doggy-door savvy. He walks well on a leash but can be pulled by interesting scents; continued leash training is recommended. He knows "sit" and is eager to continue learning. An adopter experienced with large dogs would be a plus.

Transportation

Ty is currently located in South Mississippi. We welcome adopters from out of town and offer virtual meet-and-greets. Transport is available to many states in the Northeast, with transports running every 2-3 weeks. Please note we cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.
