Lobo is a gentle soul who arrived in rescue with a story. He was found wandering the streets of Harris County, TX, thin, tired, and struggling to survive. A kind stranger found him, but couldn't keep him, and Lobo was handed over to animal control, facing a high-kill shelter and a countdown he didn't understand. Despite having an owner and being microchipped, no one ever came for him. When his time ran out, we stepped in because a dog like Lobo has too much heart left to give.
Lobo is a low-key boy with a big heart who doesn't ask for much. He's one of the easiest, sweetest boys you'll ever meet. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and calm. Lobo knows basic commands and has lovely manners. He enjoys sunbathing, soft howls, and simply being near his person. He has low energy but enjoys walks and the occasional burst of zoomies. Lobo gets along beautifully with other low-key dogs but is not a fan of tiny dogs who bark in his face. He settles right into a quiet companion or peaceful home.
Ideal Home
Lobo doesn't need a high-energy home or constant activity. He just needs someone who sees him. He would do best in a home with a quiet companion or a peaceful environment. He is not a fan of tiny dogs who bark in his face.
Ongoing Health
Lobo has a little ataxia in his back legs, a wobble that tells the story of a life that hasn't always been kind. However, it doesn't slow him down. He is fully vetted, Heartworm Negative, Microchipped, and Neutered.
