Meet Poppy, a 5-year-old mixed-breed gentleman who came to us in February 2025 after a difficult past. Poppy is a shy and sensitive soul who needs an adopter with experience and patience to help him build confidence. He has a low energy level and would thrive in a quiet, predictable environment where he can decompress at his own pace. Poppy does get along well with other dogs and might benefit from a calm, confident canine friend to show him the ropes. He would be content in an apartment or condo as long as his home life remains low-stress. Poppy may take some time to warm up, but with consistent structure and understanding, he has a wonderful capacity to form a deep and lasting bond.

Ideal Home

Poppy needs a patient and experienced adopter who understands how to work with shy, shut-down dogs. A calm, quiet environment where he can feel safe and move at his own pace is essential. He would do well in an apartment or condo setting, as long as his environment remains consistent and low-stress.
