Ramon is an easy-going, sweet, and well-mannered companion. He's very gentle and friendly with people, curious about sounds, and rarely barks or gets startled. He understands boundaries, enjoys learning, and loves attention, but he's also perfectly content relaxing on his own. A calm and loving presence, he's the perfect mix of independent and affectionate! Ramon is a Terrier mix with a heart as big as his love for life. He may be blind, but he navigates the world with curiosity, confidence, and a whole lot of love. He's a laid-back, easy-going guy who enjoys hanging out with his humans. Give him some toys and a Kong, and he can keep himself entertained! He's great at learning his way around new spaces.
Ideal Home
A mellow, relaxed home with loving companionship. He likes being around his people but is also okay spending time alone. An open-concept space or a home with minimal hazards would be ideal to help him navigate more easily. He would do best as the only pup in the home and prefers slow introductions to other dogs.
Ongoing Health
Ramon is blind after TVT but fully recovered from it. He has Chronic Kidney Disease and needs an established vet to check his kidney values every 4-5 months. He eats exclusively Hills Prescription Diet Kidney Care K/D (dry) to manage his kidneys. This costs approximately $95.00 for a 17lb bag, depending on market value and where purchased. He also receives Cytopoint injections to manage skin allergies every 6-8 weeks, the price of which will vary depending on the veterinarian used.
Training & Support
Ramon is potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained. He is a smart fella who is curious and eager to learn. He doesn't have separation anxiety, so he's totally fine if you need to step out for a bit.
