Velma

Meet Velma! This adorable one-year-old terrier mix is about 35 pounds and ready to trade kennel life for a loving forever home. She arrived with her brother Salem and is now enjoying some much-needed time in a fabulous foster home where we've learned so much about this sweet girl!

Velma is a champion at house-training and will make a wonderful addition to a family that adores her. She's already shown us how much she enjoys the company of her two foster canine sisters and would truly benefit from having another confident dog around to show her the ropes. If your dog is looking for a new best friend, Velma might be the perfect fit!

She can be a little timid when she first meets new people, but with a little patience and time, her affectionate and gentle nature shines through. She'll shower you with soft kisses and take treats ever so delicately. Velma adores her squeaky toys and loves to carry them around. Her foster parents have even been able to take away food and toys without any issue.

Ideal Home

Velma would thrive in an active, predictable home with adults or families with children ages 12 and up. She'll do best with a canine companion and would love a yard to play and relax in.

Ongoing Health

Velma is a young, healthy pup.

Training & Support

Velma is already house-trained and rides well in the car, as well as being good on leash. She will benefit from continued training, daily exercise, and a consistent, predictable routine to help her blossom into a confident and loyal companion.
