Max, an estimated 10-month-old Vizsla Lab mix weighing about 37 lbs, is a happy, affectionate, and wonderfully goofy boy who lives each day like it's the best one yet. He's a true people-dog, always ready to greet you with a wagging tail and a desire to be by your side. Max has a gentle and playful nature, making him a great companion for activities like fetch and tug. He has experience living with children and proved to be a fun and gentle playmate. With other dogs, Max is polite, easygoing, and can coexist beautifully with both small and large dogs. He's playful and sweet with his canine friends in a home setting.
Ideal Home
Max would love a home that is ready for a growing puppy who thrives on connection. A yard would be nice, but what matters most to him is having people to follow, play with, and love.
Ongoing Health
Max has received all necessary vetting including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable. He has also been tested for heartworm and treated if necessary.
Training & Support
Max is doing well with potty and crate training, sleeping through the night and settling in his crate during the day after a brief protest. He's smart, curious, and eager to please. Leash walking is still developing, and he may need a little encouragement to get going, but he improves with consistency. Max responds best to gentle, positive guidance. He may exhibit normal puppy behaviors like occasional distraction or zoomies, and may curiously check counters if something smells interesting.

Transporation
Max is currently being fostered in Renton, WA and is available for local meet and greets. Transportation is available nationwide via the rescue's transport system, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. Adopters in Canada can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
