Mabel is a 2.5-year-old, 64-pound Pit Bull mix who is spayed and vaccinated. She was found abandoned outside a fitness studio, but despite her rough start, she is a sweet and affectionate girl who adores people. Mabel loves to snuggle, give kisses, go for car rides, and soak up attention. She is happy, outgoing, and wonderful with children, especially those with special needs. She has been especially gentle and patient with her foster family's autistic son. Mabel enjoys playing with other medium to large dogs and is learning to manage her excitement during playtime. She can be eager to greet other dogs on walks, but she is making progress with her leash manners. Mabel would likely do well with a playful, tolerant dog companion or as the only pet in the home. She would likely do best in a home without cats. Mabel is not destructive when left unsupervised and prefers to sleep in a comfy spot near her humans. She may need a little extra patience and support during vet visits. Mabel is not a fan of crates and prefers to sleep cuddled up with her people.
