Hi guys! My name is Brutus Beau Beauford the Third, and I am 105 lbs of pure love! Don't be fooled by my size and breed; I am the most gentle, sweet soul there is! I absolutely love being outside, going on multiple long walks, and even enjoy running! My current foster mom, who hates running, says that I am amazing at it and keep pace with her without pulling! So if you enjoy hiking or adventuring, I would genuinely be a great addition to your family! I really enjoy people of all ages, especially females.
Although one of my favorite indoor activities is to grab a slipper, or really anything within my reach (a laundry item, plastic bottle), I do not eat it. I just love showing off my find and playing keep away for fun. That said, after a couple minutes or you remaining calm, I will easily give it back. I absolutely love belly rubs, chest rubs, outer thigh scratches, and just sitting next to you while you wrap your arms around me and hold me. I do expect belly rubs and at least 1,000 smooches in the morning. I will be happy to put my cheek to your lips to let you know if I need more.
While I like other dogs who are friendly to me, and love meeting pups, I would probably be best as the only pup in the home so that no one gets mad at me for being big and adorable. I enjoy playing ball and looking out the window. I am also the best emotional support and bathroom buddy you could ever find. I am pretty sure my foster mom would love to keep me, but she lives in an apartment and wants me to have a yard. She said she is happy to help dogsit whenever!
Ideal Home
Brutus would love a home with a yard where he can enjoy his love for being outside. He also enjoys playing tug-of-war and playing keep away with slippers, though he doesn't tear them up and will bring them to his kennel. He also likes to steal slippers.
Ongoing Health
Brutus will initially drink tons of water. He can open and try to drink from the toilet. It is recommended to avoid rawhide and nylon bones as they can upset his mouth.
Training & Support
Brutus will initially pull on leash, but after a few minutes, he walks well. He may try to counter surf, but a stern "No" will stop him. He has tried to eat used tissues.
