Meet Ariel!

Ariel is a beautiful 3-year-old, 56-pound red tri Australian Shepherd with a nub tail and striking blue eyes, whose gorgeous red coat inspired her name. She has been spayed and is up-to-date on her vaccines. This lovely lady is already a pro at crate training, house training, and walks beautifully on a leash. She's also an excellent passenger in the car! Ariel joined us after being found as an unclaimed stray at a partner shelter.

Ideal Home

Ariel would thrive in a calm, suburban home where her new family can gently help her build confidence and trust. While she enjoys walks, she can become overwhelmed in noisy, busy environments. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would benefit from having a confident canine companion in the home to help guide her. While she hasn't been exposed to cats, her low prey drive suggests she might do well with them. She's not the typical high-energy Aussie and is happiest simply being close to her people. Due to her tendency to flee when scared, a home with a secure fence is essential, and her family must be committed to helping her feel safe and secure.

Ariel is spayed and up-to-date on all her vaccinations.

Training & Support

Ariel can be a bit shy when meeting new people, especially men, but blossoms into an incredibly loving and cuddly companion once she feels comfortable. She adores pets and scratches! She hasn't shown much interest in toys yet, but with time and patience, she may discover the joy of play.
