Kelso is a wonderful dog with a heart of gold, despite a difficult past. He was adopted as a puppy and seemed to be in a happy "foster fail" situation, only to be heartbreakingly abandoned at a veterinary clinic shortly before Christmas. We were overjoyed to bring him into our care and know he deserves a loving, permanent home.
Kelso is a true gem. He has a proven track record of living harmoniously with children, other dogs, and even chickens! He's a polite gentleman who walks beautifully on a leash, is reliably house-trained and kennel-trained, and greets everyone he meets with genuine affection. Kelso already knows his basic commands and brings so much joy to those around him. He enjoys leisurely walks, relaxing indoors or outdoors, and most importantly, spending time with his favorite people. He's not a demanding companion; he simply longs for a family who will cherish him and provide the stability and love he truly deserves.

Kelso would thrive in a home that can offer him the love and security he's been missing. He has a history of successful integration with children, other dogs, and chickens.

Kelso is neutered, up to date on all his vaccinations, and has been microchipped. He has also tested heartworm negative.
Training & Support
Kelso is house-trained and kennel-trained and walks well on a leash. He knows his basic commands and is described as easygoing and a joy to have around.
