Salvador

Salvador is a 6-year-old, 36 lb mixed breed boy who came to us from Puerto Rico. He's overcome incredible odds, having survived both botulism and distemper after being found near death. Despite his difficult start, Sal has blossomed into a healthy and happy dog who is eager to find his forever home. He can be a bit shy at first until he trusts you, but once he does, he's a very affectionate and gentle companion. Sal absolutely thrives with a canine friend and would love a home with another dog to play with. His one big fear is thunder; he'll need a patient and understanding human to offer comfort and reassurance during storms, but he'll reward you with plenty of snuggles in return.

Ideal Home

Salvador would do best in a home with another dog where he can have a canine buddy. He also needs a family who can help him feel safe and secure during thunderstorms.

Ongoing Health

Salvador is currently healthy and up to date on all his vaccinations and preventatives.

Training & Support

Salvador is shy at first and needs time to build trust. He needs a supportive home that can help him overcome his fear of thunderstorms.
