Sadie is a beautiful 3-year-old Terrier/Border Collie mix who is patiently waiting for a family to call her own. She recently spent two weeks in a foster home and proved to be a remarkably calm and low-maintenance companion. Sadie isn't a "velcro" dog, but she'll happily keep you company from a cozy spot nearby, always observant and alert. She's a true professional in a home, with excellent roommate skills: she's a crate queen, a dream on walks, and highly food-motivated, making training a breeze.
Ideal Home
Sadie would do best with children ages 5 and up who can respect her independent nature. She enjoys the company of other dogs, especially males, and while social, she likes to be the "boss" of the pack at times. She'll thrive in a household that appreciates a calm, chill dog who offers loyalty without needing constant physical affection.
Ongoing Health
Sadie is heartworm positive and cannot be adopted into Washington, Wisconsin, or New Hampshire. She has received all her vetting, including being spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and is on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. A health certificate, exam, and fecal test will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport.
Training & Support
Sadie is a food-motivated girl, which makes training a breeze! She already has excellent leash manners and readily settles into her crate at night.
