Meet Sebastian, a charming 9-week-old male Chihuahua/Terrier mix who weighs about 3 pounds and will continue to grow! Found abandoned on the streets of Houston along with his 9 siblings, Sebastian may be small, but his sweet personality is making a big impression. He's a quiet little guy who prefers cozy cuddles over chaos and has earned the title of the group’s number one snuggler. Gentle, loving, and happiest curled up in your arms, Sebastian is the perfect companion for anyone looking for a soft-hearted best friend. He is already showing himself to be a brave, social pup and we believe he will do well with children, cats, and other dogs, provided introductions are made appropriately. Because of his tiny size, any other pets in the home should be gentle and experienced with very small dogs, and all interactions should be supervised. We don't know Sebastian's parents, so his exact breed mix and adult size are a mystery, but adopters should be prepared for lots of puppy surprises!

Ideal Home

Sebastian is looking for a family ready for all the joy, chaos, laughter, and love that comes with raising a tiny puppy. Because he is so young, he cannot be left alone for long periods. We are looking for homes where someone is home more often than not to help with socialization, training, and care. If you work outside the home for more than 4 hours at a time, we will not be able to consider your application unless there is another adult in the household available to care for him during the day. If this applies to your home, please be sure to explain your puppy care plan in your application. Any other pets in the home should be gentle and experienced with very small dogs, and all interactions should be supervised.

Ongoing Health

As Sebastian is still a young puppy, adopters should be prepared for the typical health needs and growth of a young dog.

Training & Support

Like all puppies his age, Sebastian is still working on potty training and crate training. His new family should expect to continue consistent training, frequent potty breaks, positive reinforcement, and patience as he learns. Puppies thrive with structure, routine, and supervision, and Sebastian is no exception.

• Virtual home visit, personal and vet reference checks are required to complete the process.

Transporation

Sebastian is currently in a foster home in Austin, Texas. He can be transported once he is matched to an adopter. Transport is included in the adoption donation.
