About Birdie

Birdie is a delightful 3.5-year-old, 45 lb female Pointer/Border Collie mix who is as sweet as her name suggests! She was rescued at a young age and has blossomed into a playful, well-mannered girl who has grown up with children and other dogs. Birdie absolutely adores running and zooming around the backyard, and she's always ready for an adventure. She knows some basic commands and has a good history with most dogs, though she can be a bit particular about her canine companions. She might do best with a calmer dog friend or as the only dog in the household. Birdie has a vision impairment in her right eye, but it doesn't slow her down one bit! She is eager to explore the world with her new family, whether it's on a walk, a hike, or any outdoor activity. Birdie is dreaming of a cooler climate and an active family to share her love of adventure with.

Ideal Home

Birdie would thrive in a cooler climate with an active person or family who can include her in their adventures. She might be a little picky with her dog friends, so a calm dog or a home without other dogs could be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Birdie has an issue with her right eye that impairs vision in that eye, but it doesn't slow her down or bother her in any way.

Training & Support

Birdie knows some basic commands and is generally well-mannered. She would benefit from continued positive reinforcement and opportunities to explore and be active with her family.
