Lessie

Meet Lessie, a gentle and shy girl looking for a second chance at a happy life. Lessie was found tied to a fence at our shelter in Mexico. Despite her past, she is wonderfully sweet and enjoys the company of other dogs. She's been working with a trainer and is gaining confidence, even showing great promise on the leash! The shelter environment can be a bit overwhelming for her, so she'll need a patient and experienced adopter to help her feel safe and secure.

Ideal Home

Lessie would thrive in a quiet, calm, and predictable home. She would do best with teens or adults and would love a home with a big yard or an owner who enjoys hiking. While not required, a home with another friendly dog would be a wonderful bonus for Lessie. She is already potty and leash trained.

Lessie is a healthy girl ready for her forever home.

Training & Support

Lessie is a bit nervous at first due to her past experiences. She benefits from patience and understanding as she builds her confidence.

Application Details:

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home.
• During the summer months, if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable, dogs may fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border. Our volunteers have successfully assisted with these border transfers.

Transportation

Lessie is located near Bucerias, Mexico. Transportation to the US and Canada is available for adopted dogs, often with the help of volunteer flight companions.
