Meet Legend!

If you're a fan of Labs, you have to come and meet the legendary Legend. This tall, handsome guy not only has an excellent temperament, but he also seems to have had some training at some point in his life — he knows sit, paw, and come. He adapts very well to whatever situation he’s in: he lies down calmly in the car, he walks with enthusiasm on the trail (his fast pace kept us half running!), and he settles in for cuddles when we sit on a bench. He does react to small birds, but he’s very easy to redirect. He’s such a mature, well-rounded boy who will thrive in a loving home! Legend is people and dog friendly and appears to be housebroken.

Legend was brought to us as a stray just after the Fourth of July. His finder/foster said he did very well with all of the people and dogs in her home. When Legend was found, he was suffering from a bad case of fly strike. It's looking so much better now, but it's still healing. He was also a bit thin and he has tested positive for heartworm, so it is clear that he had been out in the elements for some time.

Ongoing Health

Legend is being treated for fly strike, which is healing well. He has also tested positive for heartworm, and we are covering the costs of his treatment. We would love to get him into a home before treatment begins.

Training & Support

Legend knows sit, paw, and come. He can be redirected when he reacts to small birds.
