Sentry is a 6.5-month-old male Retriever/Pit Bull mix with an estimated DOB of January 2026. He currently weighs 40 pounds and is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. Sentry was rescued from the streets with his mother, Wanda, and siblings. He is a happy, affectionate, and playful pup who loves cuddles, playing with his siblings, and going for walks. Sentry is potty trained and is growing into a confident and well-rounded dog. He is outgoing, friendly, and eager to make new friends, whether human or canine. He has been around children and done well, and enjoys soaking up attention from everyone he meets. He is continuing to practice his leash skills and basic obedience, and is eager to learn.
Ideal Home
Sentry is looking for a family committed to reinforcing good manners, building his confidence, and helping him continue to mature. Homes with a resident, friendly, well-mannered dog are preferred to help mentor him. If you don't currently have a dog, a clear plan for continued socialization, training classes, playdates, or supervised daycare is required. Homes where someone isn't routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time are also preferred.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned.
