Miss Marley girl!! This sweet little lady is estimated to be between 8-10 years old and is a chocolate lab/staffy mix weighing around 50 pounds. Marley is the most vivacious older gal you will ever have the pleasure to meet. She LOVES to play ball and being near her humans. Marley doesn’t let age stop her spunky ways; she truly enjoys life! Her gentle and kind heart always radiates – she is truly a sweet old soul. Her very favorite pastime is going for car rides; she would make the best co-pilot for someone! She enjoys other mellow dogs and currently lives with a dog that she loves playing and hanging out with. When Marley is introduced properly, she likes making new dog friends. She would also make a nice family dog with kids 10 and up. Marley is looking for her new forever home after losing her owner a few months ago. Her fosters say she’s in good health and is very low maintenance. They currently leave her for long periods, and she does wonderfully! As soon as you get home, she’ll be welcoming you with a wiggly butt and lots of kisses. Marley will flourish in a home with lots of love; she’s a simple girl that doesn’t need much more to be content and happy. She loves going for quiet walks. Lots of traffic can be a little stimulating for Miss Marley, but take her on any adventure in the woods, and you’ll have the best hiking partner around! We just tested her on a walk with another dog, and she did amazing! And please don’t let her age fool you; she has the spirit of a young dog but the laid-back and mellow demeanor of an older gal. She loves to get her naps in throughout the day. In her current home, there are chickens that free-roam, and she doesn’t pay attention to them at all. We recently cat-tested her, and she was more spooked than anything. We don’t think she has a high prey drive and may be able to coexist with a dog-savvy cat! Marley would make a great companion because she has all the wonderful things people love about senior dogs, like being less energy maintenance-wise, but she still can get around and knows how to party like a younger dog at the appropriate times! Retired or work from home and need a friend to fill the space? This sweet girl would absolutely fill your space and fill your heart as well!
