Bailey-Sue is a resilient and loving 4-year-old, 57lb spayed female Pittie mix. She came to us after experiencing physical abuse, and while it took time for her to trust again, her brave and gentle spirit now shines. Bailey-Sue is looking for a patient and loving home where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace. Once she feels safe, she's a pure bundle of love and affection, known for being playful and sometimes a little silly. She enjoys chew toys, car rides, and spending quality time with her family.
Ideal Home
Bailey-Sue would thrive in a home that understands she may need time to feel safe and confident, especially around new people and dogs. Her initial caution is rooted in fear, not aggression, and with kindness and patience, she blossoms into a loyal and trusting companion. She absolutely adores children and has lived happily with kids aged 3 to 17. While she doesn't require another dog, she enjoys playing with other dogs and may do particularly well with a calm male dog around 30-80 lbs who can match her energy. Slow introductions are key to her success with other animals.
Ongoing Health
Bailey-Sue is a spayed female who is up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Bailey-Sue is fully house-trained and crate-trained, sleeping soundly through the night. She has excellent manners and has never shown any signs of food or toy guarding. She walks nicely on a leash once she's had a chance to burn off some initial energy. Continued leash work will help her be her best self, especially when she's excited.
