About KING

This handsome boy is KING, a 6-8 year old lab mix with a fun, fluffy tail that makes him truly stand out! KING is a solid "10" on a scale of 1-10 for energy, always ready for adventure. He's incredibly playful and loves to run, making him the perfect companion for an active lifestyle. Despite his zest for life, he's also described as sweet, quiet, and gentle, proving that you can have energy and a calm demeanor all in one wonderful dog. He's a well-rounded boy, friendly with people, kids, and other dogs, though he hasn't been exposed to cats. KING is a smart cookie with good common sense, easily following directions for crate time or quiet commands. He's not a big barker, but will alert you to anything unusual, giving you peace of mind. While he appreciates a good meal, he doesn't have a high food or prey drive. KING is the kind of dog who will melt your heart with a gentle face rub. He's crate and house-trained, and lets you know when he needs to go outside. He's not bothered by storms or separation and doesn't have major behavioral issues, though he once chewed a plastic water bowl, so metal bowls are recommended. KING rides well in the car, enjoying the view out the window, and is perfectly happy on a leash for his walks. After a day of activity, he's ready to relax and chill with you. KING is a resilient boy who was found abandoned and hit by a car, but his physical scars don't hold him back one bit. He's ready for a loving family to show him how great life can be.

Ideal Home

KING would thrive with an active family or individual who can provide him with regular activity and enrichment. A yard would be a great bonus!

Ongoing Health

KING has physical scars from a past injury, but they do not impact his mobility or overall health. He is fully functioning and lives life to the fullest.

Training & Support

KING is crate and house-trained and will alert you when he needs to go outside. He is generally quiet but will bark to alert you to unusual circumstances. He has been known to chew plastic water bowls, so metal bowls are recommended.
