Meet Pop Tart, also known as Pup Tart! This adorable 20 lb Staffordshire Terrier mix was born around July 6, 2025. Pop Tart has the sweetest personality and absolutely loves to run and play with his friends, but his favorite activity by far is snuggling! He will never miss an opportunity to sit on a lap, and he plays very well with other dogs of all ages. He's also very food motivated and is already learning "sit" and other commands. Pop Tart walks nicely on a leash and enjoys chewing on his benebones while keeping his foster mom company. He was found as a stray in Sunnyside, and we're so glad he's safe with us now – he's just too sweet for the streets! Pop Tart is the perfect age to be introduced to dogs, cats, and children, and he'd love to grow up with them as part of your family. If you're looking for a wiggly, snuggly pup to join your home, Pop Tart might be the perfect match!

Application Details:
- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
- Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.
- Listed breed is based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.
- Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
- All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs.
