Jasper

Hi there! My name is Jasper, and I'm a 1.5-year-old cattle dog mix with a heart full of love to give. I'm an energetic boy who loves to be outdoors and play with my favorite jolly ball. I've been through a lot, having been returned to rescue due to my previous family's life changes, but my foster family says I have great potential, good intentions, and a very sweet side once I get to know you. I can be a little shy with new people at first, but I warm up with kindness and patience.

Ideal Home

A home that understands the energy and needs of a cattle dog would be perfect for me! I love to be on the go and need plenty of opportunities to run and play. I am friendly with other dogs, but slow introductions work best for me as I don't like it when other dogs try to rule my world.

Ongoing Health

I'm neutered and up-to-date on all my vaccines and preventatives.

Training & Support

I am a bit scared of brooms and mops and might try to "herd" them away, likely because they were used to punish me in the past. I'm eager to please and work hard for treats and food, so with consistent, positive reinforcement, I'm sure we can work through this!
