Jake is a sweet, soulful boy, about 1.5 years old and weighing 9lbs. He's a unique mix of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Mini Schnauzer, Pomeranian, Toy Poodle, and a few other breeds! Jake was relinquished by his previous owner because there were too many dogs in the home. Despite a rough start, Jake is learning every day what it feels like to be cherished and is ready to continue his journey with a loving family. He's a quiet boy with a gentle spirit, and his personality truly shines in the small moments, like a happy tail wag or a shy glance that slowly turns into trust.
Ideal Home
Jake is looking for a calm, patient home, ideally with a woman and another confident dog who can show him the ropes. He can be a little fearful, especially around men, but he has never shown any aggression. He is working on housetraining and would prefer a home with a physical fence. He is good with other dogs, but his interaction with cats is unknown. He is not good with young children.
Ongoing Health
Jake has no special medical needs at this time.
Training & Support
Jake is currently working on housetraining and learning basic commands. He is crate trained and walks nicely on a leash. With time, understanding, and lots of love, Jake will reward you with his unique companionship. If you have experience with shy or unsocialized dogs, Jake will be your greatest joy.
