About LUMINOX

LUMINOX comes from the Northern community of Poplar Hill and journeyed south with her four puppies to find loving homes. She was a wonderful and attentive mother, and now she's ready to find the loving family she's always dreamed of. She is spayed, vaccinated (including rabies), and microchipped. Her vet has deemed her a healthy girl, though she is still a bit underweight and could benefit from gaining a few pounds now that she's no longer nursing. We suspect she has Husky and possibly other breeds in her, but she definitely possesses a loving and gentle nature. She's a sweet girl who adores snuggles, toys, and good food. LUMINOX loves her people and will be your shadow, following you from room to room to stay close. Belly rubs are her absolute favorite, and she'll happily flop onto the floor for a good one when she has your full attention.

Ideal Home

LUMINOX would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard, as she's an escape artist who will actively search for gaps to get through. She has a strong prey drive and has unfortunately caught and harmed small animals in the past, so she cannot be in a home with cats or other small critters. She has done well with children aged 10 and up who are gentle and loving towards animals, so we recommend children in the home be of this age or older.

Ongoing Health

LUMINOX is still gaining weight after nursing her puppies and will benefit from continued good nutrition.

Training & Support

LUMINOX is crate trained and sleeps well in her crate at night. She's not a fan of it during the day, so she's kept in a secure room where she settles quickly. She is house-trained and will alert you when she needs to go outside. She does well on walks but should not be let off-leash until she has bonded well with her new owner. LUMINOX loves to play with squeaky toys but tends to chew through them quickly to get to the squeaker, so sturdy toys like Kongs and Nylabones are recommended. She is very food-motivated and knows commands like sit, paw, down, come, and stay. We strongly recommend continued obedience training for bonding and reinforcement. She has a habit of raiding her kibble bin, so food should be kept out of reach. She does not show signs of resource guarding. She has a funny quirk where she will flop to the ground and go limp when she doesn't want to do something, like go into her crate at bedtime, but she is easily picked up.
