About Nona
Nona is a delightful 1-year-old, 50 lb, spayed female Staffie mix who is blossoming into her own! She's still got that playful puppy spirit but is growing more confident and learning to channel her joy into being the best companion. Nona is built like a little tank with a short, sturdy frame and a front-heavy build that's just too cute. She loves to zoom around the yard with her favorite toys and greets her foster mom with an enthusiastic leap after work. Nona is all sweetness and loves to be near her people, wiggling her entire body and wagging her tail with excitement. She's great at socializing, from walks downtown to meeting new doggy pals and friendly strangers. She recently met a small child and did wonderfully. Nona has a funny, stubborn streak that makes her even more lovable. She's clever and enjoys puzzles, and she's mastered "sit," with leash manners still in progress. She enjoys walks of up to 2-3 miles and is motivated by toys and treats, making training a rewarding experience. Nona is fully crate and potty trained, though consistency will help her maintain her routine. She can be a shy watchdog and will alert you to anything unfamiliar. Her adorable underbite makes her goofy expressions even cuter! She's dog-friendly and gets along well with her foster siblings, but would do best with a canine companion who respects personal space and is happy to share the spotlight. Nona hasn't been around cats or children in a home setting, but given her personality, she'd likely do well in a calm home with respectful, well-mannered children who understand how to interact with an older puppy. She is expected to grow into a sturdy, medium-to-large-sized dog. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate, and hilarious companion with a happy wiggle butt and a personality to make you laugh every day, Nona is ready to meet you!
Ideal Home
Nona would thrive in a home with a confident canine friend to play with and learn from, but she would also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only. She would do best with a canine companion who is respectful of personal space and happy to share the spotlight.
