Meet Teddy!
This handsome little boy and his five siblings were saved from euthanasia just hours before they were to be put down. Their brave mama, Liberty, received six extensions before they were finally rescued, just in time for the Fourth of July. To celebrate their second chance at life, each of her puppies was given a patriotic name. Teddy is a precious Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix, and at only 4 weeks old, he has a world of adventures waiting for him. He’s a tiny baby, but he’s growing stronger every day in foster care. Teddy will be ready to travel to his forever family in 45 weeks, after receiving his second round of puppy vaccines. His mama, a sweet 45-pound Cattle Dog mix, has done an incredible job caring for her puppies. Liberty adores her babies, and it’s clear that Teddy has inherited his mama's gentle, loving nature.
Right now, Teddy is discovering all the joys of puppyhood – wobbly steps, playful tumbles with his siblings, and long naps piled together. His personality is emerging, and we're already seeing a sweet, curious, and affectionate puppy who loves being close to his people. Like far too many puppies, Teddy didn't get the safe start every puppy deserves. Thankfully, he’s now surrounded by love, full bellies, soft blankets, and kind hands in foster care. Every day he learns a little more about what it means to be cherished.

Training & Support
Because he's still so young, Teddy will need a family ready for all the fun (and work!) that comes with raising a puppy. He'll need help with crate training, house training, leash walking, socialization, and all the puppy basics. With patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement, he has all the potential to grow into an amazing lifelong companion. Australian Shepherd and Cattle Dog mixes are known for being smart, loyal, active, and eager to bond with their families.
