About Forest

Forest is a sweet, polite, and well-behaved girl born in April 2015, weighing around 70 pounds. She was originally rescued from a kill shelter in California City. Forest is housebroken and knows basic commands like sit, shake, and down, even sitting politely at the door before going outside. She is great with other dogs and would love a family to call her own!

It's especially sad when a dog who has been in a home for years is returned, and that's what happened to Forest. As a senior, large pittie mix, her adoption applications haven't been rolling in. Forest has made friends with all the volunteers and is in a great playgroup, but for a dog who has lived in a home for most of the last nine years, this is a tough transition. She was adopted as a puppy in October 2015, returned in 2018, adopted again, and after six years in that home, she's back. Forest knows her commands and is housebroken. She is friendly and energetic, and you'd never know she's a senior by how she moves, aside from some "frosting" on her face.

Ideal Home

Forest should be able to easily transition into a new household.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions are mentioned, but she is considered a senior dog.

Training & Support

Forest knows her commands and is housebroken. She is very intelligent, learned the routine at TBL quickly, and listens well. She takes treats gently and loves to run around the yard. She could easily be a hiking or jogging buddy and, in true pittie fashion, should be an excellent snuggle buddy.
