Oscarr is a 40-pound male German Wire-haired mix with a birthday of October 9, 2023. He's a spirited pup who previously found a home but has been returned to us. While we haven't seen it firsthand in the shelter, his previous family noted some nipping behaviors that made him a less-than-ideal fit for their household. Oscarr is house-trained, crate-trained, knows "sit," and is very treat-motivated. However, he can be mouthy, barky, and quite energetic. He also seemed a bit unsettled by common household noises like the vacuum or an ice dispenser. Ideal Home
We're looking for a patient and understanding home that can provide Oscarr with consistent training and positive reinforcement. Given his previous experience with household noises, a home that can help him acclimate to these sounds in a calm and gradual way would be ideal.

Oscarr is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his vaccines.
Training & Support
Oscarr can be mouthy and energetic, and we encourage continued training to help him channel his energy positively. He may also benefit from continued work on his reactions to household noises. Reviewing his detailed notes will provide more specific guidance.

- We conduct vet checks. To expedite the process, please bring copies of your current pet's vet records including proof of spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, and heartworm testing and prevention for dogs.

We encourage potential adopters to visit during our adoption hours: Monday-Wednesday, Friday from 12-2 PM, Saturday from 11 AM-3 PM, and Thursday from 5-8 PM.
