About Winnie
Life is simply more fun with Winnie! If dogs had personalities like people, Winnie would be the friend who's always saying, "Let's go!" Whether she's racing into the backyard, proudly emptying the toy box, chasing squirrels (don't worry, they're much faster than she is), or curling up beside you on the couch after a day of adventures, Winnie approaches life with pure joy. At just over a year old, she's past the tiny puppy stage but still has that youthful enthusiasm that makes every day more fun. Her foster family says Winnie has never met a toy she didn't love. She happily entertains herself, adores playing with other dogs, and after she's had time to burn off some energy, she's more than happy to stretch out beside her favorite people for cuddle time. She's completely house trained, great with children, loves other dogs, has no food aggression, rides beautifully in the car, and is eager to learn. In fact, her foster describes her as highly motivated to please and says she's quickly becoming an incredible companion. One of Winnie's funniest quirks? Bath time. While the resident dogs have to be bribed into the shower, Winnie happily follows them in and patiently waits for her turn. She genuinely seems to think it's part of the fun. Like many rescue dogs, Winnie can be cautious around some unfamiliar men at first. She isn't aggressive, she simply appreciates being allowed to approach new people at her own pace. Once she realizes she's safe, her sweet, affectionate personality shines through. If you're looking for a dog who will make you smile every single day, Winnie might be exactly who you've been waiting for.
Ideal Home
Winnie would thrive in a home that embraces her joyful and adventurous spirit. She is great with children and loves other dogs, so a home with a playful canine companion would be wonderful. She can be cautious around unfamiliar men, so her new family should be understanding and allow her to approach them at her own pace.
Ongoing Health
Winnie is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is flea and heartworm free. She has also been spayed and microchipped.
Training & Support
Winnie is a quick learner and eager to please, making her highly trainable. She is already house-trained and has no known behavioral issues beyond her initial shyness around some unfamiliar men, which can be managed with patience and positive introductions.
