Bombon is a delightful 9-month-old, 33-pound German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love to give. She stands at 16 inches tall and measures 18 inches long. Bombon was rescued in Saltillo, Mexico, after being found alone and a bit anemic, a survivor of a sad situation. Despite her initial shyness around strangers, she blossoms into an incredibly affectionate and playful companion once she feels secure. She's a curious girl who enjoys cuddles, runs, hikes, and showering her humans with kisses. Bombon is also brave, walks well on a leash, and is an intelligent learner. She gets along wonderfully with kids and other dogs, and is even crate-trained!
Ideal Home
Bombon would thrive in an active family that enjoys hiking and exercise, preferably with a fenced backyard. Her ideal family will have an open heart and understanding for rescued animals, recognizing their need for protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training, along with a high degree of patience for rescued pups, is highly desired.
Ongoing Health
Bombon is spayed/neutered and up-to-date on all her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed and tested negative for heartworm. She also received a 4DX test. She is currently protected with monthly Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are available.
Training & Support
Bombon is not yet house-trained. Her rescue organization works tirelessly to provide extensive rehabilitation for their animals, but due to the sheer number of pets in foster care, individual house-training for each animal is not always possible. She is eager to learn and will benefit greatly from consistent positive reinforcement and guidance in her new home.

Transportation
Bombon is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast in January/February 2023. Transportation to the adopter's home address is available for a fee of $400.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure.
