Peony

Peony is a 5-year-old, 45lb Staffie mix who is pure sunshine and wiggles! She's a hilariously happy girl who has never met a stranger and radiates joy. Peony loves people, kids, dogs, and cats, and is truly a dream boat who is happy anywhere.

Ideal Home

Peony thrives with routine and structure. A home that can provide her with consistent guidance, including "place" work for impulse control and settling, crate training, and proper exercise will help her shine. Without an outlet, she can get overstimulated, but with time and consistency, she'll adjust beautifully to your home's routine.

Ongoing Health

Peony is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and will be ready for her forever home in mid-August.

Training & Support

Peony is still working on loose leash walking, as she's very excited about life! Her adopter should be dedicated to consistent training, and our rescue provides adopters with various training resources to set them up for success. She is potty trained and crate trained, though she may cry for a few minutes before settling in. Please expect an adjustment period for potty training, as with any new dog.

Transporation

Peony is currently being fostered in Houston, TX. We work with trusted transport partners to transport our dogs to over 30 cities in the United States. Adopters are also encouraged to pick up their new pet in Houston. Once an adoption is confirmed, our team will work with you to determine the best transport schedule.
