Meet Sid Smitty, a one-year-old Husky mix with a heart as big as his fluffy frame! Weighing in at 59 lbs, Sid is a bundle of joyful energy, guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. He's a true exclamation point of a dog, with a contagious zest for life. Sid thrives on being included in everything – he loves spending time with people, playing with his doggy friends, and soaking up all the affection he can get. He's incredibly sweet and has a knack for making you feel like you've known him forever. Sid is a delightful mix of playful goofiness and contented cuddliness, and he's been great with kids, embodying that "life is more fun with this dog around" vibe. He even has a charming little black spot on his tail, like a perfect little paintbrush mark!
Ideal Home
Sid would love a home with a playful, confident, and happy canine companion, preferably a female who enjoys robust play sessions and also appreciates quieter moments. However, if you don't have other dogs, Sid would also be a wonderful center of attention. He has also shown to be friendly with cats, but a meet-and-greet can be arranged. He is comfortable with couch cuddles and may occasionally try to sneak a snack, so keeping tempting treats out of reach will be helpful.
Ongoing Health
Sid is generally healthy and has had all his necessary vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and he has been spayed/neutered.
Training & Support
Sid has good house manners and seems to understand that playtime is an outdoor activity. He enjoys interactive toys like rope toys and is motivated by play with his humans. He's happy to settle down with a toy when not actively playing.

Sid is located in the Houston area, Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pickup available in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A transportation surcharge of $87 applies. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
