Louis

Louis is a 13-year-old, 10 lb miniature poodle mix who is the definition of a gentle, low-maintenance senior sweetheart! He's a calm, polite, and affectionate companion who simply wants a loving home to enjoy his golden years in comfort. Louis gets around beautifully, is crate-trained, and has never had a potty accident. He loves to snuggle on the couch and would be a perfect sleeping buddy at night, especially if he has a small bench to help him hop onto the bed. He enjoys short walks and leisurely time in the backyard, and he's perfectly content being left in his crate when you're away.

Ideal Home

Louis would thrive in a relaxed home, ideally with a retired person or someone who works from home, where he can be the center of attention. He's great with respectful children who understand not to pick him up.

Ongoing Health

Louis has been diagnosed with cardiomegaly with left atrial enlargement, which has improved with medication. He also has a historic grade IV-V/VI heart murmur. He is on daily medication (Vetmedin 1.25mg tablet and Enalapril 2.5mg tablet) that he will need for life, but it doesn't slow him down!

Training & Support

Louis is house-trained and crate-trained. He is polite and easygoing, and happy with simple routines.
