Shayla is a charming 3-year-old Boxer/Collie mix with a striking black and white coat, weighing in at a perfect 50 pounds. Her adorable underbite only adds to her irresistible appeal! This sweet girl arrived as a stray from Bartow Animal Control and is now eagerly awaiting a loving home where she can feel safe, cherished, and truly understood. Shayla is full of personality – affectionate, playful, and bold. She adores belly rubs, will happily settle at your feet for some attention, and is always up for a game of tug. She's a very people-oriented dog who loves to be close to her humans and wants to be an active participant in your life, always making sure you know she's around.

Shayla would thrive in an active home that provides ample exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation to match her medium to high energy levels. She needs an experienced adopter who understands leash reactivity, as she is still learning to remain calm and focused outside, particularly around other animals. She is a bit uncomfortable behind barriers and prefers to have access to her people.
