At a glance
A little about them
Meet Willie, a loving six-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog and Vizsla mix who weighs 68 pounds. After six cherished years with his New Hampshire family, Willie is seeking a peaceful new beginning through no fault of his own.
Willie is affectionate, intelligent, and wonderful with people. He loves cuddling, enjoys walks and time in a fenced yard, and welcomes dog sitters and walkers. He is a quiet watchdog who barks to alert his family when someone approaches.
Ideal Home
Willie is fantastic with children and cats and does well with most dogs. However, he has experienced frequent, unpredictable fights with one particular male dog in his current household. His family believes he would do best as the only dog or with a genuinely compatible dog following an appropriate introduction.
A peaceful home where Willie can feel safe and free from ongoing conflict is essential. He does not dig or attempt to jump fences and enjoys relaxing outdoors in a fenced yard.
Ongoing Health
Willie is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. His family believes his current anxiety and fear are connected to the ongoing conflict with another dog.
Training & Support
Willie is house trained and crate trained. He rings a bell at the door when he needs to go outside and has never had an accident indoors. He knows “sit,” “stay,” “crate,” and “outside,” and walks beautifully with a Gentle Leader.
