Moon is a gorgeous, two-year-old Saluki-Lab mix who is searching for her well-deserved happy ending. Her journey from Kuwait to Canada is nothing short of miraculous. At just one year old, little Moon was poisoned in Kuwait – a local rescue found her and did everything they could to save her. Thankfully, she survived, but it left her with some visual impairment. Despite her challenging start, Moon has proven herself to be a total survivor with an incredibly resilient spirit. Because of her impairment, she simply needs a predictable environment, clear routines, and a structured home where she can feel safe and secure.
To set her up for absolute success, Moon has spent the last few months in an elite board-and-train program, where she has absolutely blossomed. The trainers have fallen in love with Moon, and she is currently being fostered with them. They are so committed to Moon that they will provide ongoing guidance, transition tips, and support to her future adopters. Moon is an incredibly smart girl who walks beautifully on a leash, loves practicing her commands, and is deeply affectionate with her handlers. Moon loves her walks and adventuring; she currently takes pack walks daily with the resident dogs and other dogs there for training, and is a pro at off-leash. She has recently learned how to swim – it is absolutely precious and special to see this girl thrive and live her life so happily! Moon bonds deeply with her people and has so much love to give. She is a true doll who has so much to teach us all about resilience and second chances. Moon is a once-in-a-lifetime dog!
Ideal Home
Moon would thrive best in an active, adult-only home that enjoys outdoor adventures like hiking and beach walks. While she can live with other dogs, she would also love to be your cherished one and only. A fenced-in yard would be a wonderful bonus for her, but it is not a requirement for an active family. She needs a predictable environment, clear routines, and a structured home.
Ongoing Health
Moon survived poisoning and has some visual impairment. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Moon has completed an elite board-and-train program and is a pro at off-leash skills and walks beautifully on a leash. She loves practicing commands. Her trainers will provide ongoing guidance, transition tips, and support to her future adopters.
