Meet Owen! This sweet, approximately 5-year-old boy, weighing around 20 lbs, is looking for a special home to share his abundant love and many laughs. Owen is a playful pup who enjoys his backyard, a good purple ball, and showering his humans with kisses. He also loves stuffed Kongs filled with kibble and peanut butter, Nylabones, his Taco toy, and napping on soft dog beds. Owen is a wonderful snuggle buddy, but he's also a young, busy dog with a lot to do! He enjoys "helping" with laundry by playfully stealing items from the basket, and he's eager to meet new, friendly strangers, though he can be a little shy at first. Once he knows you want to give him some love, he warms up quickly. He adores exploring new parks with his foster mom.
Ideal Home
Owen is good with other dogs and children. He is respectfully curious of cats.
Ongoing Health
Owen was rescued with limited mobility in his back legs and was incontinent. He has undergone physical therapy and has made great progress, now able to use his back legs and zoom around, though not in a typical way. Owen is still incontinent. We don't know if there will be further improvement, but he is a resilient and intelligent boy ready for a loving adopter who can provide for his special needs. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.
Training & Support
Owen is intelligent and learns quickly. While he's still working on sitting still for brushing and nail trims, he's a young dog who is eager to please.
