Hondo is a handsome 2-year-old mixed breed weighing around 40 lbs. He came to us as a stray and was initially a bit fearful, but with patience and kindness, he has blossomed into a sweet, friendly dog who loves to spend time with people he trusts. Hondo is ready to find a family to call his own and share his journey with. He's the perfect age to enjoy adventures, learn new things, and settle into family life. If you're looking for a loyal companion who just needed a little time to shine, Hondo is ready to show you just how special he is.

Ideal Home

Hondo would love a family to call his own and is happy to be adopted by families with children. A fenced yard is not required.

Ongoing Health

Hondo is heartworm positive. Heartworm disease is treatable with proper veterinary care, and he deserves a loving home while he continues his treatment.

Transporation

Hondo is located at our shelter. Transportation is available to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Adopters will meet at a designated meeting spot to pick up their new companions. We are unable to adopt to MA or RI residents at this time.
